Policies and Procedures

These policies are in place to ensure we deliver reliable, transparent, and professional testing services to every client—across all the solutions we provide.

Mileage Policy

  • Standard Mileage Rate:  A mileage fee will be charged for travel beyond a 50-mile radius from the headquarters office.

  • Extended Travel:  For distances exceeding 50 miles, additional travel time may be billed based on your tiered zone.

  • Calculation:  Mileage is calculated from the headquarters office to the appointment location and back to the headquarters office.

Urgency Appointment Fees

  • Within 25 miles:  $ 50.00  

  • 25 - 50 miles:  $ 75.00

  • Over 50 miles: $ 100 .00

Tiered Zones

  • Zone 1 - (0 - 50 miles):  Included

  • Zone 2 (51 - 75 miles):  +$ 50.00

  • Zone 3 - (76 - 100 miles): +$ 75.00

  • Zone 4 - (100+ miles):  Custom quote based on time and mileage.

Additional Parties

  • Base Fee Coverage:  The base testing fee includes up to two parties (e.g., one alleged father and one child)

  • Additional Party Fee:  For each additional party (e.g., another child, mother, etc) an extra fee will be applied:

  • Additional Alleged Father:  $ 85.00

 

  • Additional Child:  $ 85.00

  • Extra Relative (e.g. sibling, grandparent, aunt / uncle):  $ 85.00

Same Day Appointment Fees

  • Urgency Fee:  A same-day appointment can be arranged for an additional fee.  Subject to availability.

  • Booking Window:  Same-day appointments must be booked at least 4 hours in advance.

  • Availability:  Same-day appointments are not guaranteed and are based on the availability of staff and resources.

  • Payment:  The urgency fee must be paid in full at the time of booking.

Refund Policy

  • Refund Eligibility:  Refunds are available if a cancelation request is received at least 48 hours before the scheduled appointment date.

  • Processing Time:  Approved refunds will be processed within 10 business days from the date of the request.

  • Non-Refundable Fees:  Same day appointment fees, mileage fees, and any lab processing fees are non-refundable.

  • Partial Refunds:  If testing has commenced but not completed, a partial refund may be issued, excluding cost for services already rendered.

Cancellation Policy

  • Standard Cancellation:  Cancellations must be made at least 48 hours before the scheduled appointment to avoid any penalties.

  • Late Cancellations:  Cancellations made within 24 hours of the appointment will incur a cancellation fee.

  • 24 hours before appointment:  $ 35.00

  • Less than 24 hours:  $ 50.00

Identification Policy
(Legal Tests)

  • All DNA test participants must provide valid government-issued photo ID.

  • All DNA test participants must provide consent forms before testing.

  • Minors must be accompanied by a legal guardian, and guardians may need to show custody documents.

No Show Policy

  • No-Show:  Failure to appear for your scheduled appointment without notice or being more than 15 minutes late without prior communication.

  • No Show Fee: $ 75.00

    • A fee will be charged for all no-shows.  ​

    • No refunds will be issued, and the full service fee may still apply depending on the situation.

Chain of Custody Policy
(Legal Tests)

  • Legal results require supervised collection, ID verification, signed documentation, and photograph, to be admissible in court.

Rescheduling Policy

  • Rescheduling:  Appointments can be rescheduled once without penalty if notice is given at least 24 hours in advance.

Weather & Safety Policy

  • TruResults Solutions reserves the right to reschedule if weather, location conditions, or safety concerns arise.

Payment Policy

  • Full payment is due before the appointment.

  • Accepted payment methods:

    • Credit Card​

    • Debit Card

Privacy & Confidentiality Policy

  • All personal information and test results are kept confidential and shared only with the person who ordered the test, unless legally required.

  • These polices and procedures are designed to ensure that all DNA testing services are conducted efficiently and fairly.

Lab Processing & Turnaround Policy

  • Standard turnaround times (2–3 business days depending on test).

  • More complex test may take up to 5 business days.

  • Delays are rare but may happen due to lab volume or sample issues.
